I jumped over ...Very timely and thought provoking. I jumped over to Bearing Blog and will have to spend more time reading the comments. My oldest graduates this year and the switch to 9th grade was easy. I think it's because we were already using a Catholic classical curriculum we loved and it fit her to a T (though we did veer off and do nearly all PSEO this year and have used some co-op classes prior to that)! My next child starts 9th grade next year and I feel more of that panic. What was right for my oldest is not likely right for him (learn very differently and have very different strenghths/weaknesses and interests). We will continue with co-op classes for science and languages (I don't feel I, personally, can do those justice alone with my kids currently in grades 12, 8, 7, 4, 2, 1, & 2 youngers).
